kg to lbs (and Other Mass Units)
AllinOne Editorial · Published 2026-09-16
Use the international avoirdupois pound, not a rounded 2.2. The converter also handles grams, ounces and stone.
The exact factor is 1 lb = 0.45359237 kg (international avoirdupois pound). Multiplying by 2.2 is fine for a rough gym estimate and wrong for a shipping label.
Quick examples
- 70 kg ≈ 154.324 lb
- 1 stone = 14 lb
- 1 kg = 1000 g = 1,000,000 mg
The Weight Converter converts through kilograms. Pair it with the BMI calculator if you entered height in centimetres and need pounds for a US form — convert mass first, then calculate BMI in one unit system.
