How to Merge PDF Files
AllinOne Editorial · Published 2026-09-16
Merging PDFs copies pages into a new document. You can do that on this device without sending files to a server.
A merge is not a new layout. Each page from each file is copied, in order, into one PDF. Cover first, then chapters, then an appendix — that is just the order of the files (and the arrows on this site).
Steps
- Open Merge PDF and add two or more files.
- Use the arrows if a file landed in the wrong place.
- Merge and download merged.pdf.
When to split or compress first
If you only need pages 1–3 of a long scan, extract those with Split PDF before merging. If email rejects the result, try Compress PDF — and read that guide, because rebuild-with-object-streams does not magically shrink photo-heavy scans.
Very large files can strain a phone browser. Use a desktop tab for long books.
Frequently asked questions

Each page is drawn to a canvas and saved as JPEG. Nothing is uploaded. There is a 40-page cap so the tab stays usable.

How to Compress a PDF
Honest compression: unused objects can drop. Already-optimized scans often will not get smaller — and might grow slightly.
