A QR code is just text drawn as a square. Static codes do not need a tracking server.

A QR code stores a short piece of text a camera can read: a URL, a WIFI: payload, a mailto: link, or a phone number. This site’s generator writes that text with the open-source qrcode library and checks that a scanner can read the preview before you download.

Steps

  1. Open the QR Code Generator and pick a type.
  2. Fill the fields. Use a full https:// URL for websites.
  3. Keep dark-on-light (or the reverse) with strong contrast. This tool blocks weak pairs.
  4. Download PNG for screens or SVG for print.

Design rules that actually matter

  • Leave a quiet margin around the code.
  • Do not cover the three finder squares in the corners.
  • A logo is optional. If the scan check fails, shrink or remove it.

URLs, WiFi passwords and phone numbers stay in your browser. We do not store them.
